FBI offering reward for information on a 2020 murder in Red Lake

The FBI Minneapolis Field Office announced on Twitter Monday that a $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the murder of a Red Lake man nearly two years ago.

According to a release, 31-year-old Jacob Hunter was murdered around 11:30 p.m. in the East Barton’s area of Red Lake on Oct. 7, 2020.

His obituary indicates that he passed away the next day at the Sanford Fargo hospital.
