FOSSTON– The Polk County Sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of a 29-year-old Fergus Falls man after a Sunday morning incident in Fosston.

Deputies responded to two 9-1-1 calls about an assault at about 3:45 A-M.  They say they found one man standing at an intersection and a second man lying on the curb not breathing.

The victim died even though deputies performed C-P-R.  Nicholas Hauge was taken into custody and is being held in the Northwest Regional Correctional Center in Crookston on charges of second-degree murder.

Hauge’s victim appears to be his younger brother, 19-year-old Timothy Hauge, who died of head injuries.
