The race for the next Bemidji City Councillor-at-large is underway, and one person entered their name during the first filing day.
Daniel C. Jourdain, who has an address in Bemidji’s Ward 4, filed yesterday.
The winner of the special election will serve out the rest of Jim “Doc” Thompson’s term, which expires at the end of 2022. Thompson resigned earlier this year.
Affidavits of candidacy will be accepted through 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11.
