First National Bank Bemidji supports health care workers

First National Bank Bemidji is donating meals from local restaurants to health care workers.

“Our team intrinsically has a desire to help our community. We want to show our appreciation to healthcare workers for all they continue to do for our community during the pandemic. One of our team members sent an email asking colleagues for donations to send a sandwich platter to the COVID unit here in town,” Becky Bentfield, marketing manager of First National Bank Bemidji said.

“Our leadership saw this as the perfect opportunity to use funds that were set aside for holiday celebrations on a much deserving segment of our community.”

According to a release, employees at Sanford Health and affiliated nursing homes will receive weekly meals from restaurants such as Keg n Cork, Big Apple Bagels, Countryside Restaurant, Country Kitchen and Raphael’s Bakery Café.

“Throughout the pandemic, we’ve taken every opportunity to boost local businesses and essential workers through our #BetterTogetherBemidji efforts,” Bentfield said.

“We’ve continued this initiative by showing our appreciation to healthcare workers in our community, while also supporting local restaurants that have been impacted.”
