Four finalists in Bemidji Superintendent search after fifth withdraws

The Bemidji Area School Board named five finalists from a pool of 11 applicants to be Bemidji’s next superintendent.

Two locals were vying for the position, Bemidji High School Principal Dr. Jason Stanoch, and Northwest Technical College Administrator Darrin Strosahl.

Strosahl withdrew his application for consideration this morning.

Two others from Northern Minnesota also are finalists: superintendent of Crookston Jeremy Olson and superintendent at Thief River Falls Donita Stepan.

Karsten Anderson, a superintendent from Red Wing, is also a finalist.

The first round of interviews is scheduled at 4 p.m. on April 11 and continued at 4 p.m. on April 12.
