Free COVID-19 tests still available, federal program ends Friday

Friday is the last day to order free COVID tests from the federal government.

The state of Minnesota also still has free rapid COVID tests available.

Households can order eight tests from the United States Postal Service COVID test portal, and another eight through the MDH COVID-19 webpage.

Due to a lack of funding for the federal COVID test program, orders will no longer be accepted at USPS for free tests after Friday.

Three rounds of test shipments have been available this year from the USPS.

Minnesota has offered one round of test shipments to households.
