Free entrepreneur workshops from the LaunchPad and the NSBDC

A partnership between Greater Bemidji’s LaunchPad and the Northwest Small Business Development Center is offering quarterly workshops for aspiring entrepreneurs.

According to a release, these free workshops will cover the basics of starting a business and are designed for those with a business idea, those who have recently started a business or those struggling with their current business.

The first workshop will be held Jan. 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Mayflower Building.

This introductory workshop will cover how to prepare a business plan, understand markets, employee-management considerations and more on how to turn a business idea into a reality.

The second workshop will be held Feb. 4 from 11:30 to 1:30, again at the Mayflower.

This workshop will delve into the vital components of a business: finance and marketing.

Topics will include identifying start-up costs, putting together financial projections, exploring financing options, as well as developing successful marketing strategies.
