Grand Rapids Police seeking information on stolen handguns

Police in Grand Rapids are asking for help locating some guns stolen from a retailer over the weekend.

Officers say a man used a large rock to break the front door of Glen’s Army Navy Store Saturday night around midnight.

The suspect is also accused of smashing glass countertops and taking 14 handguns.  Investigators said that six of the guns have been located and they’re still looking for the other eight.

Police have not named the suspect in the case. The store has surveillance equipment and the suspect was identified.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Officer Jeremy Nelson with the Grand Rapids Police Department at (218)326-3464.

Glen’s Army Navy Store is offering a $1,000 reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the recovery of the firearms.
