Great River Rescue holds annual gala

Great River Rescue held their annual Fall Harvest gala this past weekend, a fundraising dinner for the local animal shelter, and raised nearly $16,000, according to a release.

Executive Director Brandon Mustful said the shelter humanely addresses the area’s pet population.

Great River Rescue is community supported, according to Mustful, and relies on donations to support their mission.

The next fundraising event planned is Give to the Max Day on Nov. 14.

Great River Rescue is located on the south end of Bemidji, on Carr Lake road. More information about adoptable pets is available on their website.
