Great River Rescue recognized as a strong nonprofit

Great River Rescue was recently recognized as a strong nonprofit by the Charities Review Council.

According to a release, GRR received the “Meets Standards” seal after a voluntary review process.

The web-based Accountability Wizard examined four key areas of Great River Rescue’s operations: Public Disclosure, Governance, Financial Activity and Fundraising.

The release says GRR has aligned its practices, policies and procedures to widely-accepted standards of accountability.
