The following is a summary of incidents the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office responded to from Thursday, Dec. 12, through Sunday, Dec. 15.
THURSDAY, DEC. 12
Accident, 8:13 a.m.
Caller states her son’s vehicle was hit by another vehicle and the other motorist fled the scene. No injuries.
Animal Complaint, 8:43 a.m.
Caller’s dog is missing from Pleasant Street in Nevis. Possibly stolen.
Theft, 3:01 p.m.
Party reporting theft from his home while he was in jail. Call was referred to Becker County.
Damage to Property/Vandalism, 8:56 p.m.
Metal on the road and extensive damage to the body of the vehicle. Still pieces in the roadway, incident happened between 6:30 and 7 a.m.
Suspicious, 11:57 p.m.
Male party at the end of the road on 496th Street. The male approached to ask reporting party to pull him out. Male was wearing a camo jacket and dark jeans, arrived 5-6 minutes ago, and walked back towards Highway 71.

Officer Assist, 11:53 a.m.
Questions about burning down an old house on his property.
SATURDAY, DEC. 14
Suspicious, 11:16 a.m.
Reporting party states he can see a black hole in his ceiling and that it was never there before. No smoke, no visible fire reported on Western Avenue.
