HUD awards $13.1 million to Minnesota Tribes in COVID relief

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced $450 million to Indian Housing Block Grants to tribes across the country in response to COVID-19.

This funding includes over $13 million to Minnesota tribes, allowing tribes to carry out affordable housing activities to protect the safety and health of tribal members and communities.

The White Earth Band was awarded over $2.3 million, the Red Lake Band over $3.1 million and the Leech Lake Band was awarded over $2.7 million.
