Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week

During the Bemidji City Council meeting earlier this week, Bemidji Mayor Rita Albrecht proclaimed the week of November 15th through the 22nd as “Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week.”’

In the proclamation, Albrecht said, “Food and housing insecurity continue to be a serious problem in our community,” and commended the organizations providing assistance to these families in need.

A coalition of area organizations, including the Bemidji Community Food Shelf and Village of Hope, will hold several online activities throughout the week of November 15th, and will be available on the Bemidji HAHAW Facebook page.
