Monday is the deadline for anglers to remove ice shelters on inland waters in northern Minnesota.
The northern third of the state is defined as north of the east-west line formed by U.S. Highway 10- MN Highway 34- MN Highway 200-to U.S. Highway 2.
The removal deadline for fish houses on border waters with Canada is March 31.
The DNR is also reminding anglers to leave no trash behind, such as bait, blocking materials, garbage and human waste.
Anglers can still use shelters on the ice as long as they’re occupied between midnight and an hour before sunrise.
