One juvenile was arrested after a pursuit that left three people injured after falling off the steep embankment of Lake Boulevard Saturday night.
According to the Bemidji Police Department, an attempted traffic stop for a wrong-way driver around 10:30 p.m. led to a 10-block pursuit when the driver lost control near where the pursuit began on 9th Street and Lake Blvd. NE and launched through the handrail, down the steep embankment and into Lake Bemidji.
The driver fled the scene and left three injured passengers behind, two teenagers from Cass Lake and an adult woman from Le Sueur.
The passengers were treated at Sanford Bemidji.
The 16-year-old male driver from Cass Lake was located Sunday and taken into custody.
Officers found open alcohol containers, marijuana, and methamphetamine in the vehicle.
The Bemidji Fire Department and Bemidji Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
