A Laporte man was killed in an ATV crash in Hubbard County Sunday afternoon.
According to a release from Hubbard County Sheriff Cory Aukes, deputies received a report of an ATV crash on Hubbard County Road 44 in Schoolcraft Township, with the caller reporting that a victim had been ejected from his machine and was in a swampy area with his head underwater.
First responders arrived to find 61-year-old Timmy White dead at the scene. The investigation showed that White had been westbound on 44 when he made an abrupt turn, entering the ditch then rolling several times.
White, according to the release, was not wearing a helmet. The crash remains under investigation.
