Lawdermilt named BSU/NTC chief information officer

Sherry Lawdermilt has been named chief information officer for both Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College.

Lawdermilt comes to Bemidji from the University of North Dakota, where she most recently served as director of applications and integration support.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to join Bemidji State University and Northwest Technical College,” she said. “After my service in the Marine Corps ended, I started my pursuit of higher education in the Minnesota State colleges and universities system, so coming to BSU and NTC feels like I’m coming full circle. The campus community was very welcoming during my campus tours and I look forward to working with the students, faculty, and staff.”

Lawdermilt has a master’s degree from Park University and expects to complete her doctorate from UND later this year.

She starts at BSU and NTC on March 16.
