Leech Lake drowning victim identified

WALKER– The victim of a drowning on Leech Lake Monday has been identified. According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to Woodland Resort on Kabekona Bay Monday afternoon for a medical emergency.

When they arrived, they learned that 69-year-old Sandra Crow of Mora was found unresponsive in the water near a dock. CPR and lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful.

This was the first of two drownings investigated this week by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The identity of the man who drowned on Louise Lake Wednesday near Longville has not yet been identified. The investigations are still underway, and autopsies for both are pending.
