Lincoln School briefly locked down as a precaution during nearby search

Lincoln Elementary School was briefly locked down as a precaution while officers conducted a search warrant at a nearby house Friday.

According to Bemidji Police Captain David LaZella, the search was at a house on the 2400 block of Mill Street Northeast.

An email from Lincoln Elementary said the event lasted 21 minutes.

The school was notified prior to the activity and chose to enter into a lockdown, said LaZella, due to the police presence.

No arrests were made during the search warrant.
