LIVING UNITED: The Legendary Women of Beltrami County #1–Mary Chapman Ghostley & Denae Alamano

Denae Alamano

Dr. Mary Chapman Ghostley

March is Women’s History Month. Paul Bunyan Broadcasting is teaming up with the United Way of Bemidji Area, Women United and the Beltrami County Historical Society to celebrate “The Legendary Women Of Beltrami County” presented by First National Bank Bemidji and North Homes. Larissa Donovan will share the stories of many of Beltrami County’s trailblazers on KB101 and 95-5 KZY throughout the month as well as on Chatabout. And LIVING UNITED will have weekly episodes featuring women who have made huge contributions to our community as well as those who are making tomorrow’s history today.

In our first episode Kev and Denae interview…Denae. She does double duty here. Clearly she is front and center in making tomorrow’s history today, but she is also the great-granddaughter of the legendary Dr. Mary Chapman Ghostley and Denae tells her story as well. It’s a great way to kick off a great month of stories.

“The Legendary Women of Beltrami County” is also sponsored by the Bemidji Jaycees, Norenberg Tax and Consulting Services and Andrea Crandall American Family Insurance of Bemidji and Bagley. Listen to the first episode:
