LIVING UNITED: The Legendary Women of Beltrami County #2–Mur Gilman & Jackie Stoffel

March is Women’s History Month and LIVING UNITED continues its weekly series on the Legendary Women of Beltrami County. This time around, we visit with a pioneer in women’s athletics and a woman who is making her impact on the world of athletics and inclusion now. Mur Gilman was a true trailblazer when she arrived at Bemidji State University and continues to advocate for fitness and exercise, while Jackie Stoffel discusses her huge impact in furthering the Unified program with Bemidji Schools and Special Olympics.

“The Legendary Women of Beltrami County” is a joint production of Paul Bunyan Broadcasting, the United Way of Bemidji Area, Women United and the Beltrami County Historical Society and is presented by First National Bank Bemidji and North Homes. In addition to the podcasts, Larissa Donovan will share the stories of many of Beltrami County’s trailblazers on KB101 and 95-5 KZY throughout the month as well as on Chatabout.

“The Legendary Women of Beltrami County” is also sponsored by the Bemidji Jaycees, Norenberg Tax and Consulting Services and Andrea Crandall American Family Insurance of Bemidji and Bagley. Listen to our latest episode with Mur and Jackie:
