Local contractors wanted for Bemidji Veterans Home

Contractors interested in working on the Bemidji veterans home will need to go through a qualification process.

According to a release from Beltrami County Administrator Kay Mack, the qualifications are required since state dollars are involved in this project.

Local contractors are encouraged to participate, as Mack said participation would be important to the local economy.

The management team, Adolfson and Peterson Construction, has issued a request for qualifications that will be used in allowing contractors to bid on portions of the project.

The deadline for submitting the RFQ is Jan. 7, 2020, at 2 p.m., and a link to the RFQ can be found on the Beltrami County website.

Construction on the Bemidji Veterans Home is expected to begin as early as next year, with the goal to open in 2021.
