Local kids shop with local heroes for the holidays

Thirty-one kids shopped with members of our local first responder agencies during the Annual Heroes and Helpers Program at Walmart.

The children were each paired with a Hero to assist them with the shopping and were each given $100 to spend how they wished.

Walmart Bemidji hosted and the shopping assistants were volunteers from the Bemidji Police Department, Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office, Bemidji Ambulance, Bemidji Firefighters Local 2302, the Minnesota State Patrol, and the Bemidji and First City Lions Clubs.
