Man arrested after 12-mile pursuit around Ten Lake Township

A 54-year-old man was taken into custody after a 12-mile pursuit near Pennington.

According to a release, Beltrami County deputies have been increasing their patrol in that area over the past week on the report of a suspicious vehicle.

The pursuit began in the early morning hours of March 17 after an attempted traffic stop near Mission and Jenkins Roads. Deputies deployed tire-deflating stop sticks after the pursuit through county and township roads around Ten Lake Township.

The man, whose driver’s license is canceled, faces felony charges for fleeing police and driving while impaired.
