Man found dead in Polk County lake

A 69-year-old  man is dead after emergency responders found him face-down in the water in Polk County.

According to a release from the Sheriff’s Office, they, Mentor Fire and Rescue and County EMS responded around 4 p.m. yesterday to a report of a male, lying face down in the rural lake.

Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, and the man, Steven Sveningson, was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is pending, but criminal activity is not suspected. No further information was released.
