Menahga man injured in crash with semi

A Menahga man was injured in a crash with a semi Friday morning in Hubbard County.

Deputies arrived at Hubbard County Road 6 around 9 that morning and they found one driver pinned inside his car with lacerations to his face and he was complaining of severe leg pain.

The driver was accessed after a deputy and a passerby broke out a window, providing medical attention until Hubbard First Responders and Menahga Fire arrived to extract him from the car.

The victim, 32-year-old Brady Millbradt, was apparently reaching for a cigarette lighter in the passenger seat when he crossed the centerline, colliding with the semi, driven by 29-year-old Devon Pickar of Perham.

Pickar attempted to avoid the oncoming vehicle but Millbradt’s Bonneville struck the rear duals of the trailer, causing severe damage to both vehicles.

Millbradt was transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids for treatment of his injuries.
