By: News Director Larissa Donovan

MENAHGA– A 26-year-old Menahga man was killed in an alcohol-related crash in Hubbard County Saturday night.

According to the state patrol, the GMC Sierra, driven by Taner Berttunen, was driving at a high rate of speed and struck a Lexus, driven by 38-year-old Devlan Ingberg of Brainerd, on Highway 71.

Both vehicles were northbound near Hidden Drive. The GMC then went off the roadway, went airborne, and struck a tree.

According to the state patrol, Berttunen was under the influence of alcohol and was not wearing his seatbelt. He died at the scene. No one else was injured in the crash.
