Menahga woman injured in crash with deer

A Menahga woman was injured in a crash with a deer yesterday morning.

According to the state patrol, 31-year-old Kori Nelson was eastbound on Highway 71 near Norway Drive and struck the deer.

She was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s hospital in Park Rapids for treatment of minor injuries.

The airbags in her 2015 Mazda deployed as a result of the crash, and she was wearing her seat belt.
