Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women changes name

ST. PAUL– The agency that assists women and others facing domestic violence has rebranded itself.

The agency formerly known as the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women will now be known as Violence Free Minnesota.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Violence Free Minnesota is expected to release last year’s Femicide Report in the coming days.

The Femicide Report includes statistics of all people killed as a result of domestic violence last year.
