Missing man’s body found on the shores of Lake Pokegama

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office reports they found the body of a man who was reported missing earlier in the week.

According to a release, trained K9 dogs along with search team volunteers located 29-year-old Jeremiah Uti’s body on the shoreline of Lake Pokegama Tuesday, near the area he was last seen.

Uti, a resident of Hibbing, was first reported missing Sunday, Sept. 27.

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office thanks all who helped in the search efforts, which included the Minnesota State Patrol, the Minnesota DNR, Itasca County Search and Rescue and Dive team, and the many volunteers.
