Missing person’s body found, investigation underway

The multi-day search for a missing Red Lake man has tragically ended.

The body of 39-year-old Terence Nedeau, Jr., was found around 1 p.m. Monday after initially being reported missing a week earlier on Aug. 8.

Volunteer searchers located the body west of Red Lake in a remote area and alerted law enforcement.

Nedeau was found outside his vehicle, a white GMC Yukon, which was driven down an old overgrown fire trail.

The cause of death is currently under investigation.

The Red Lake Tribal Police Department thanks surrounding agencies and the volunteers who assisted in the search.
