Missing woman found safe and unharmed

A Beltrami County woman reported missing was located unharmed and safe yesterday.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office and Bemidji Police Department shared notices last Friday that 32-year-old Chessna Lalgie had not been in contact with friends or family since February.

Beltrami County Sheriff Jason Riggs credited his office’s investigative division and patrol divisions for their work in finding her.

The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Bemidji Police Department, Leech Lake Police Department and the Paul Bunyan Drug Task Force.
