Most road work suspended over holiday, stay “cool” behind the wheel in work zones

Drivers are reminded to stay “cool” behind the wheel ahead of the 4th of July holiday weekend.

MnDOT says there are more than 200 projects underway on state roads this construction season.

While most work will be suspended over the holiday, work zones remain in place.

In this district, projects underway are Highway 2 west of Bemidji, a new roundabout in Thief River Falls on Highways 1 and 59, Highway 2 west of Cass Lake, Highway 2 from Marcoux to Erskine, and Highway 200 east of Walker.

For information on all road conditions, use MnDOT’s 511 service.
