Motorcyclist killed near Park Rapids

A Park Rapids man was killed early Tuesday morning after striking a deer.

According to the state patrol, the 42-year-old motorcyclist was eastbound on Highway 34 in Henrietta Township around 1:15 this morning when he struck the deer.

The Minnesota State Patrol identified the victim as Jason William Robert. According to the completed report, Robert was not wearing a helmet and was transported to the St. Joseph’s Hospital after the crash.

The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, North Memorial Ambulance and Park Rapids Police Department assisted at the scene.
