Nashwauk man seriously injured in motorcycle crash

A Nashwauk man was critically injured in a motorcycle crash in Itasca County Monday.

The state patrol says 44-year-old Christopher Meadows was southbound on Highway 38 after 7 p.m. Monday, when he lost control of the motorcycle, went off the road and hit a fence and a tree near Pine Ridge Road.

Meadows was airlifted to St. Mary’s Duluth for treatment of life threatening injuries.

Meadows, according to the report, was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to have been a factor in this crash.
