Neilson Foundation donates $25K to future Career Academy graduates

The George W. Neilson Foundation awarded $25,000 to support graduates of the Bemidji Career Academies as they start attending Northwest Technical College next year.

The Bemidji Career Academies works with high school students to build skills transferable to the workplace, with many courses that align with program areas at NTC.

The NTC Foundation began a partnership with the Bemidji Career Academies in 2018 with the hope to retain our homegrown students and their talent to provide the next generation of the workforce for our community,” said Ashley Johnson, executive director NTC Foundation.

There are currently 800 9th through 12th graders participating in the Bemidji Career Academies.
