Nevis man injured in crash

A Nevis man was transported to the emergency room after a two-vehicle collision in Park Rapids Tuesday around 6:45 p.m.

The state patrol says that 45-year-old Christian Couch of Nevis was eastbound on Highway 34 in a Ford Expedition when he was rear-ended by an F150, also eastbound but at a faster speed.

Couch was taken to the Park Rapids hospital via ground ambulance for treatment of what was described as non-life threatening injuries.

The F150 driver, 22-year-old Zachary Peterson of Lamberton, was treated on scene for injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in this crash, and the state patrol was assisted by the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, Park Rapids Police Department and North Memorial EMS.
