New vaccine incentive now through Aug. 15

Any Minnesotan 12 and older that gets their first COVID-19 shot today through August 15 will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card.

Governor Walz plans to use $2.5 million from the American Rescue Plan funding toward the program, with an anticipated ask for additional funding from the state legislature to sustain it through Aug. 15.

The Delta variant is pushing COVID cases up in Minnesota and across the country, causing national alarm as fall approaches and students prepare to go back to school.

Newly-vaccinated people will be able to claim their gift card from Aug. 4-15 at mn.gov/covid-19.
