No gun found in Sunday morning weapons call

Law enforcement was called to the 700 block of 15th Street early Sunday morning on a call of a male brandishing a handgun.

According to a release from Chief Mastin, officers determined that the suspect located in the area just after midnight on Sunday was not in possession of a gun, and was cited for disorderly conduct.

The release says, “Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the caller, who described a confrontation he had with a male wearing a red shirt and black pants. The caller alleged the male pulled a handgun out of his pocket and threatened him after being told to leave the property.”

Officers were able to safely detain the subject, and he was released after being issued a citation.
