No injuries in train crash

Two escaped injury yesterday morning after a train collision in Fosston.

According to a release from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and troopers from the State Patrol responded to a report of a car versus train collision at Highway 2 and 360th Avenue in Fosston around 9:13 a.m. yesterday.

The report says the BNSF train was westbound on the tracks when it collided with a 2013 Ford Pickup truck.

Fifty-two-year-old Todd Jevning of Fosston and his 17-year-old passenger did not sustain any injury, with only minor property damage reported on both the train and the truck.
