No injuries reported in house fire on Birchmont Drive

No injuries were reported in a house fire on Birchmont Drive Monday afternoon.

The Bemidji Fire Department says 23 firefighters with eight pieces of equipment responded to the 2900 block of Birchmont Dr. NE at 12:38.

Firefighters could see flames in the basement window of the single-story home with heavy smoke. They were on the scene for about two hours.

The home and its contents were heavily damaged.

The Bemidji Police Department, Bemidji Ambulance and Ottertail Power assisted at the scene.
