LAKE HATTIE TOWNSHIP– No one was injured in a house fire early this morning in Hubbard County.

According to a release from Bemidji Fire Chief David Hoefer, Bemidji Firefighters arrived to find the front half of the home in Lake Hattie Township on fire just before 4 this morning.

The home’s sole occupant was alerted by smoke alarms and was able to escape without injury.

Twenty-three firefighters were on scene, and the blaze caused heavy damage to the structure and its contents.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, but it appears to be accidental in nature. The Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
