The Northwest Minnesota Foundation has named new people to its team.

Shannon Jesme was named Senior Vice President for Finance and Administration for the nonprofit and Antonio Franklin has joined the board of directors.

Jesme is filling a new position for NMF and will oversee the organization’s financial activities, human resources, facilities, IT, contract management, and investment funds.

“I have a strong sense of responsibility and also of community. I am excited to contribute my skills to the work of NMF, serving and strengthening our communities,” Jesme said.

“I am truly blessed and honored to be part of the work of this organization.”

She has a Ph.D. and an MBA, is also a CPA with an active license and comes to NMF from the Northland Community & Technical College where she was the CFO/Vice President of Administration.

Jesme and her family are long-time residents of Thief River Falls.

New board member Antonio Franklin is currently an Economic Development Planner for the HRDC and has served on a number of committees including the Anishinaabe Art Festival, the Mahnomen Art Initiative, Peoples Church, and BiCAP, among many others.

“The Northwest Minnesota Foundation’s work excites me as it aligns with both my personal and professional mission to support regional equity, build community leaders, strengthen partnerships, and improve quality of life in the region,” Franklin said.
