FRAZEE– The Minnesota BCA identified the Becker County deputies and suspect involved in an officer-involved shooting near Frazee.

Agents say Deputy Daran Borth fired his handgun and Taser and Sergeant Andrew Bachmann deployed his Taser in the incident last Saturday.

Forty-four-year-old Brian Hazelton was threatening to injure himself, may have attempted a drug overdose and refused to come out for 45 minutes before officers entered the home.

Deputies Borth and Bachmann fired at Hazelton during the encounter, injuring Hazleton.  He was released Friday from the hospital and booked in jail on assault charges.
