One arraigned, another still at large in Lakes robbery case

A Bemidji man is facing aggravated robbery and motor vehicle theft charges for his alleged involvement in the recent armed robbery of Lakes Convenience Store north of Bemidji.

According to the complaint, 18-year-old Brian Donovan White, Jr., confessed to committing the armed robbery with still at-large suspect, Carlito Kingbird.

Kingbird allegedly stole a white Honda from the Vista North neighborhood prior to the robbery, and afterwards, the two allegedly stole an older Chevy Ventura from a home near Island View Drive.

Unconditional bail for White was set at $100,000, and anyone with information on Kingbird is asked to contact the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office.
