The Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident just after midnight on Dec. 26.
According to an email from Emergency Management Director Chris Muller, the Sheriff’s Office responded to an emergency call on the 5,000 block of Lavinia Rd. NE.
Muller says officers found a dead person, and that it appears to be a targeted crime and there is no threat to the public at this time.
No further information, such as the age or gender of the victim, was released at this time.
The call required the closure of some area roads.
