One killed in early morning crash Thursday

One was killed in a crash yesterday morning in Bemidji.

The Bemidji Police Department responded to the 1200 block of Delton Ave. NW around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

Emergency responders located a 2003 Chevy Impala that collided with a tree.

The driver was extricated from the vehicle but despite lifesaving efforts at the scene and at Sanford Bemidji, they were pronounced dead.

No information on the driver has been released, pending notification of family members.

Alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash.

Bemidji Ambulance Service, Bemidji Fire Department, and the Beltrami County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
