A 67-year-old Bemidji woman was seriously injured in a crash just south of Bemidji Sunday afternoon.
Beltrami County Sheriff Jason Riggs said in a release that first responders were dispatched to the intersection of Monroe Avenue and Oak Hills Rd. SW.
Mary Lund was driving the 2012 Toyota Camry on Monroe Avenue, at a controlled intersection with traffic having to stop for Oak Hills Road.
Lund crossed the intersection and was struck by a 19-year-old Oak Hills College student, Isis Wald-Rall, who was traveling on Oak Hills Road in a 1998 Ford Taurus.
Lund was airlifted from the scene after first responders extricated her from the vehicle. She was transported to Sanford Fargo for treatment of life threatening injuries.
Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene, with neither driver showing signs of impairment.
Bemidji Police, Bemidji Ambulance and Bemidji Fire also responded to the scene.
