Open house next week on road projects on Irvine Ave. that may include a roundabout

The Beltrami County Highway Department plans to reconstruct Irvine Avenue from 30th Street to Anne Street next year and asks for input on an intersection improvement for Irvine Avenue and Anne Street.

The county is considering keeping Anne and Irvine a signal or installing some type of roundabout. Proposals included on the county’s website show various roundabout sizes.

The plans also include a new road section, city utilities, sidewalks, bike lanes, and intersection lighting.

The county will hold an open house next Thursday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the County Administration Building, with a presentation at 5:30.

That’s the same day MnDOT will hold their open house on the construction on Highway 71 this summer, which includes a roundabout at the Anne Street intersection.
