Park Rapids FFA chartered at 92nd convention

Minnesota’s virtual FFA convention included the chartering of nine new FFA chapters, including one in Park Rapids.

Future Farmers of America is a national organization developing students’ potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education with more than 700,000 members in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The Minnesota FFA Association represents nearly 12,500 members and 210 high school chapters across the state.

The Minnesota FFA Association’s 92nd Convention with the theme Worth It took place through virtual sessions, live recognition, interactive state competition finals and workshops, as well as in-person convention-in-the-classroom activities.

 


Larissa Donovan is the News Director for the stations of Paul Bunyan Broadcasting and has been, almost without interruption, since Election Day 2016. She covers events and issues in north central Minnesota, which include local government, crime, courts, education, environment and social issues. She studied communications at Bemidji State University and received her degree in 2018. Larissa, native to the great state of New York, grew up in Bemidji, and enjoys spending her spare time with her family and pet cat. She also loves Star Trek, punk rock music and the theater.
